Abdullah Talakey

Abdullah Talakey has a strong background in technology and software development. Abdullah currently works as the Director of Platform Engineering at Tamkeen Technologies, where they are responsible for integration, identity and access management (IAM), and DevOps/SRE services. Abdullah focuses on creating a culture that adopts Agile methodology principles and practices and collaborates with teams of IT professionals to set specifications for new products. Prior to their current role, Abdullah held the position of Manager of Platform Engineering at the same company.

Before joining Tamkeen Technologies, Abdullah was the Head of Information Technology at EMKAN FINANCE, where they were responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and defining the strategic direction for the team. Abdullah aimed to grow the team into a self-organized, agile, and autonomous unit.

Abdullah's experience also includes working as a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Lean Business Services, where they focused on reducing the time of the SDLC and enhancing code quality by introducing Agile practices and automation. Abdullah also worked as the Head of DevOps at GOSI - General Organization for Social Insurance, where they delivered exceptional service to product line teams, helped them adapt to Agile practices, and increased the pace of new releases through CI/CD implementation. Abdullah also held roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer within GOSI, where they played a significant role in building and maintaining enterprise-grade software systems.

Abdullah Talakey graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from California State University, Chico in the years 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued Second Language Learning in English at California State University-Sacramento from 2008 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they completed the Leadership Development Program at Cranfield University in April 2023, became an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Certified Associate from Oracle in December 2021, and obtained various certifications from Udemy, Learning Tree International, and ICAgile in the years 2016 to 2020, covering topics such as DevOps, Agile, Node.js, Angular, and Java Web Services.
