Vice President Of Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion at Tampa Bay Rays

Stephen Thomas has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Intern in Corporate Partnerships at Tampa Bay Rays in 2006. Stephen then worked their way up through various roles at the organization, including Coordinator and Senior Coordinator in Fan Experience, Manager in Business Operations, Director in Strategy and Development, and Executive Director in the Rays Baseball Foundation. In 2021, they became the Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Tampa Bay Rays, and in 2023, they were promoted to Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Prior to their time at Tampa Bay Rays, they worked as a Residential Education Advisor at the Washington State University Department of Residence Life from 2003 to 2005.

Stephen Thomas attended Washington State University from 2002 to 2006. The field of study and degree obtained during this period are unknown. In 2011, they enrolled in Leadership St. Petersburg and completed the program in 2012. Stephen also participated in the Leadership Tampa program from 2018 to 2019. Apart from their academic education, they obtained two certifications. In January 2022, they received an Inclusive and Ethical Leadership Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Additionally, in May 2021, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the same institution.
