Casey L.

Casey L. has a strong background in information technology and has held various leadership positions throughout their career. They are currently the Director of Information Technology at Tampa Bay Water, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this, Casey served as the Chief Technology Officer at Brick Street Farms from November 2019 to January 2022.

Before working at Tampa Bay Water and Brick Street Farms, Casey held multiple roles at Duke Energy Corporation. From March 2018 to May 2019, they served as the Director of IT Applications, where they were responsible for managing a highly available and secure application portfolio. They also played a key role in the selection and implementation of Smart Grid and IoT technologies. Prior to this, Casey was a Senior IT Manager from May 2013 to March 2018, and a Solution Architect - Smart Grid from July 2012 to May 2013. In these positions, Casey provided technical leadership and project management for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure implementation and was involved in all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Before joining Duke Energy Corporation, Casey worked at Progress Energy from August 2010 to July 2012 as a Lead Information Technology Analyst - Smart Grid Solution Architect. They were responsible for the technical leadership and project management of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure implementation. Casey also held the role of Lead Information Technology Analyst from August 2005 to July 2010, where they modernized the spatial data and electrical distribution network management capabilities of the company through technology implementation and process improvement. They were also involved in the consolidation of two large Geo-spatial Information Systems into a single enterprise GIS platform.

Casey's career in information technology started at Florida Power Corporation, where they worked as an IT Analyst from February 1997 to November 2000. Their responsibilities included defining requirements, coding, testing, and delivering business value in a large client-server Customer Information System environment.

Overall, Casey's work experience demonstrates a strong history of leadership and technical expertise in the field of information technology, particularly in the areas of Smart Grid, Advanced Metering Infrastructure, and system architecture.

Casey L. completed a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida in 1996. In April 2016, Casey obtained the SAFe Agilist Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
