Joe Weist

Joe Weist has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting field. Joe started their career in 1987 as an Accountant at Herman D. Weist CPA. Joe then moved on to become the Director of Finance at the YMCA of Greater Des Moines from 1992 to 2002. Following that, they joined the YMCA of Metropolitan Hartford as the Chief Financial Officer and held this role for a remarkable 20 years until 2022. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA.

Joe Weist obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Joe attended the university from 1983 to 1987. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business at Iowa State University from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, Joe Weist holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant granted by the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are unknown.
