Taija Puolitaival

Taija Puolitaival currently serves as the Head of Degree Programmes in Civil Engineering and University Instructor at Tampere University since August 2021. Prior to this role, Taija held positions as Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at Unitec Institute of Technology from February 2012 to August 2021, focusing on the integration of BIM and VDC into construction programs through research and course development. Taija's earlier experience includes a role as Learning and Teaching Designer at Manukau Institute of Technology in 2011-2012, managing academic development projects in Business and Engineering, and a Lecturer position at Tampere University of Technology from 1999 to 2009, where work concentrated on construction productivity and life-cycle cost assessment. Taija began academic involvement as a research assistant and is pursuing a Doctor of Science in Built Environment at Tampere University, with a prior Master of Science in Engineering from Tampere University of Technology.
