James Leal

James Leal possesses extensive experience in operations and engineering within the medical device industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Operations at Tandem Diabetes Care since October 2010, James previously held positions as Vice President of Operations at the same company and as Vice President at Volcano Corporation from May 2004 to September 2010. Earlier roles include Director of Manufacturing at CardioNet and Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Digirad. James began his career at Hughes Aircraft Missile Systems Group as a Manufacturing Engineer after earning a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Arizona.
