Summer Preston

Summer Preston has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Summer started their career as a Lifeguard at Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark in 2015 and then worked as an Interviewer and Scriptwriter for the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum Campus from 2016 to 2017. Summer gained valuable skills in project management, scriptwriting, and video editing during this time. In 2018, they worked at Grain Station Brew Works as a Hostess, Server, and Kitchen Expo, where they excelled in customer service and food preparation. Summer then transitioned to bartending and serving roles at McMenamins Pubs & Breweries from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they joined FIR Northwest, a student-run advertising agency, as an Art Director, where they participated in concept generation, client pitching, and ad development. Summer further honed their creative skills as a Junior Art Director at VMLY&R Commerce from 2021 to 2022, working on various advertising projects for clients like John Deere and Nestle. Most recently, they worked as an Art Director at REIGN, a relaunching agency in Portland, where their responsibilities included rebranding, revamping past work, and creating pitch decks. Summer is currently employed as an Art Director at Tandem Theory starting in 2023.

Summer Preston attended Chemeketa Community College from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained an Associate of Science Oregon Transfer degree in Business. Following this, from 2019 to 2021, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Advertising at Portland State University - School of Business.
