Omar Zahr

Omar Zahr's work experience begins in 2007 as a Research Assistant at McGill University. From 2008 to 2016, they hold different research positions at McGill University, including Research Scientist and Research Associate, focusing on the assembly of plasmonically coupled structures for optical metamaterial fabrication.

In 2015, Omar joins TandemLaunch Inc., a venture creator company, as part of the Venture Development team. In 2017, they take on the role of Technology Manager, and in 2019, they become the Director of Technology & Principal Scientist. Currently, Omar serves as the Chief Technology Officer at TandemLaunch Inc.

Omar Zahr completed their high school education at the American Community School from 2001 to 2004, where they pursued the International Baccalaureate curriculum. Omar then joined McGill University in 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry in 2008. Following this, Omar continued their studies at McGill University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Materials Chemistry from 2008 to 2015. In addition to their degrees, Omar also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com in April 2015.
