Rebecca Kersch is the CEO and Founder of TANGapp, a payment platform focused on international remittances and phone credit top-ups in the Philippines. The app also offers services such as bill payments, peer-to-peer payments, and other e-payment options, aiming to provide financial inclusion. Prior to TANGapp, Rebecca worked as an Industry Advisor and Consulting Career Advisor at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Rebecca also developed and wrote case books for MBA students interested in consulting careers. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate at Strategy& from 2014 to 2018. Earlier in their career, Rebecca worked at the United Nations as an Admin for Global Field Support Strategy and at the World AIDS Campaign as an International AIDS Conference Coordinator.
Rebecca Kersch has an extensive educational background. Rebecca first attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate degree. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and studied International Business Administration, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from 2006 to 2009.
Continuing their academic journey, Rebecca pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Management - CEMS from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, starting in 2010 and concluding in 2013. During this period, they also undertook a brief period of study at the University of Sydney in 2010 as part of their international management program.
In 2018, Rebecca embarked on another academic venture, enrolling at Harvard Kennedy School, where they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. Rebecca completed their studies at Harvard in 2020. Throughout their education, Rebecca has focused on various fields including international management, business administration, and public administration.
