Rebecca Padnos Altamirano has a long history of professional experience. Rebecca began their career in 2001 as a Member of the Barbara H. Padnos International Scholars Committee at Grand Valley State University. In 2008, they became the Founder of Tangelo. In 2014, they took on the role of Chair and Founding Member of Stanford GSE Alumni Awards & Recognition Committee at Stanford University Graduate School of Education. In 2015, they were a Co Author for the book Be the Change. In 2017, they became an Advisor to California Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) at Stanford University School of Medicine. In 2019, they became a Board Member for The Art of Yoga Project. In 2020, they became a Mentor for the Global Social Benefits Institute at Santa Clara University. In 2021, they took on the role of Strategy at Pr3vent INC. Finally, in 2022, they became an Advisor for MOBS and a Board Member for Leaders Forum US.

Rebecca Padnos Altamirano began their educational journey at Cranbrook Kingswood High School, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Rebecca then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from Wellesley College, graduating in 1999. In 1997 and 1998, Rebecca studied at Dartmouth College, though they did not receive a degree. Finally, in 2000, Rebecca earned a Master's degree in Education from Stanford University.
