Igor Leikin has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Igor started their career as a Senior Software Development Engineer at ING Direct Canada in 2001 and worked there until 2007. Igor then served as a Release Manager for the same company from 2007 to 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Sr. Manager, Release and QA at ING Direct Canada. In 2013, they joined Tangerine as the Director of IT Governance Office and later became the Vice President of DevOps, Quality Engineering, and IT Governance in 2014. Alongside their professional career, Igor also served as a Program Advisory Council Member at York University from 2020. Before their time at ING Direct Canada, they worked as an Information Technology Consultant for various clients from 1995 to 2000.

Igor Leikin holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Riga Transport and Telecommunication Institute. In addition to their academic background, they obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the NextGen CIO Academy from Deloitte in February 2022, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in February 2017, Finance and Accounting for Nonfinancial Managers in March 2014, and several ITIL® v3 certifications, including Planning, Protection and Optimization (2011), Service Offerings and Agreements (2011), Operational Support and Analysis (2010), and Release, Control and Validation (2008). Igor also holds a Green Belt in the Lean Six Sigma Program from ING Business School, obtained in 2007.
