Moin Ahmed

Moin Ahmed has extensive work experience in financial accounting and operations. Moin is currently the Director & Head of Financial Accounting & Operations at Tangerine, a position they started in October 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Scotiabank, including Director of Finance Optimization & Operational Review and Head of Consolidation Accounting and Reporting. Moin also worked as a Controller, Manager of Financial Reporting, and Manager of Financial Control during their tenure at Scotiabank. Before joining Scotiabank, Moin worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche and as an Audit Senior at Ernst & Young. Additionally, they have experience serving in leadership positions at nonprofit organizations, such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - Toronto Chapter, where they were Director, and Settlement Assistance and Family Support Services (SAFSS), where they served as Chair of the Board of Directors.

Moin Ahmed obtained a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom (Hons) degree from the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce between 1988 and 1991. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration - MBA with a specialization in Accounting and Finance at the University of the People from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, Moin Ahmed has acquired the designation of a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Moin also obtained a certification in Information System Audit & Control from the Information System Audit & Control Association.
