David Brightling

David Brightling is the current General Manager at Tanglin Club. David has also served as the General Manager and CEO at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club from September 2014 to July 2018. Prior to that, they were with American Club Taipei from December 2018 to September 2021, where they served as the General Manager.

Brightling has extensive experience in managing clubs and organizations. David is known for their focus on Member engagement, utilization and spending. Under their leadership, the American Club in China completed the latest phase of its multi-year capital improvement program. David also helped increase Member engagement, utilization and spending at Royal Canadian Yacht Club through improved marketing and an expanded calendar of activities, events and programs.

David Brightling has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Theirtory from the University of Toronto. David also has a certificate in Hospitality Management from George Brown College and a certificate in Personnel and Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto.
