Russell Dodds

Russell Dodds has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Russell is currently working at Tango Card as the Director of Engineering since November 2021. Prior to this role, they served as an Engineering Manager at Tango Card starting from October 2019. Earlier in 2019, they held the position of Sr Software Development Engineer at the same company.

From 2013 to 2018, Russell worked at Sirqul, Inc. as the Director of Engineering. Russell focused on being the Systems Architect for their cloud-based engagement services platform, ensuring the design and scalability of web services.

Between 2011 and 2013, they worked at Gripwire, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they delivered quality applications for clients, including physics-based puzzler games and word matching games with community-driven content.

At Yumetech, Inc., from 2007 to 2011, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, managing a team of developers and contributing to the design and implementation of Java SWING applications. Russell also mentored recent college graduates and managed workloads for multiple projects.

Beginning in 2001, Russell worked at Kent School District, first as a Web Developer responsible for managing the district's web servers and developing Perl scripts. Later, they became the Web Systems Engineer, involved in all aspects of the software life cycle and developing applications for data processing and information sharing.

Earlier in their career, from 1999 to 2000, they worked at WorldCom as a Software Engineer I, leading a web application development team and overseeing the UI design and implementation.

Russell Dodds graduated from North Carolina State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
