João Bernardes

João Bernardes is an accomplished financial management professional with extensive experience in the aviation and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as the Planning & Control Management Director at TAP Air Portugal since May 2019, João leads the Planning, Management Control, and Financial Reporting functions, focusing on route profitability and financial oversight for the Maintenance business unit. Previously, at Altice Portugal, João acted as the Planning and Control Senior Manager, managing substantial budgets and delivering financial reporting for the executive management. With a robust background at Portugal Telecom, João held several key positions, including Planning and Control Senior Manager and Financial Control Manager, where responsibilities encompassed financial planning, reporting, and the implementation of compliance projects. João holds an Executive Master in Project Management from INDEG-ISCTE and a degree in Business Organization and Management from Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
