Rui Monteiro

Rui Monteiro is an experienced professional in the field of business intelligence and analytics, currently serving as the Head of Insights & Analytics at TAP Portugal since September 2016. Rui has a robust academic background, holding a Master's degree in Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a graduate degree in Mathematics from Universidade de Aveiro. Additionally, Rui functions as a Business Intelligence teacher at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, imparting knowledge in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence at the Master's and PhD levels. Prior roles include management positions at Closer Consulting, where projects involved creating a Business Intelligence platform for TAP, along with leading an Analytic Accounting System initiative. Rui has also founded and managed several businesses including Nota Máxima, Lda, AMF, Lda, and Parkners Café, Lda, while earlier teaching in Public High Grade Teaching Schools.
