Majed Chaaraoui

Majed Chaaraoui is an experienced professional currently serving as the Group Head of Operations at Tap Payments since February 2023. Chaaraoui has been an angel investor since January 2016, focusing on various startups primarily in the fintech sector, such as ClearScore and Farmlend. Prior to this, Chaaraoui co-founded and served as CEO of Insurami, a deposit guarantee platform for commercial real estate, from April 2018 to December 2022, and held the position of Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First during the same period. Chaaraoui’s previous roles include Senior Manager at Blenheim Chalcot, where ventures in fintech were built and invested in, as well as experience as an Analyst at Paradigm Change Capital Partners and a Senior Investment Analyst at Towers Watson. Chaaraoui holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics and a BENg in Electronics & Communications Engineering from the University of Leeds.
