Sonia Owchariw is an experienced digital reporter with a strong background in journalism. Currently serving as a Digital Reporter at Red Carpet Reporter LLC since December 2016, Sonia covers breaking news, hard news, local news, and features, along with responsibilities in shooting, writing, editing, and conducting stand-ups. Prior experience includes working as a News Reporter for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, where Sonia focused on Bloomfield Life, and a lengthy tenure at The Westfield Leader, reporting on local and county news, elections, town council, and education board matters. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Montclair State University, earned between 1987 and 1991.
