John Trosch has over three decades of work experience in the geophysical and geoscientific fields. John currently holds the position of Chief Geoscientist at TAQA, a role they have held since October 2014. Prior to their current role, they worked at TAQA North, where they served as Chief Geophysicist and New Ventures from October 2013 to the present. John also held positions of Chief Geophysicist from March to October 2013 and Senior Geoscientist from December 2009 to March 2013 at TAQA North. Before joining TAQA, John worked as a Staff Geophysicist at Petro Canada from 1998 to 2009. In 1989, they served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager at GMA (Geophysical Microcomputer Applications), an international geophysical software provider. John also has experience working as a Geologist (Contract) at Husky Energy in 1988, Geophysical Research Assistant at the Geologic Survey of Canada in 1987, Geophysicist at Hamilton Brothers Canadian Gas in 1986, and Geophysicist at G.W. Laborde Exploration Consultants in 1985.
John Trosch completed their bachelor's degree in Geophysics at the University of Calgary from 1981 to 1985. John further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained another bachelor's degree in Geology from 1986 to 1988.
