Jan Hovey

Jan Hovey is an accomplished media professional with over 30 years of experience in writing, editing, marketing, and public relations. Serving as the Assistant Publisher at Highway 4 News since February 2021, Jan also founded Jan Hovey Media in June 1992, where skills in blogging, photography, and authoring have been utilized. As the Owner of Target Marketing, responsibilities include marketing, advertising, and public relations, alongside roles as Editor of Central Sierra Seasons Magazine and columnist for multiple publications. Jan's expertise extends to co-authoring "Your Guide to the Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway" and holding the position of Vice President of the Calaveras Visitors Bureau, with established media contacts in the Central Sierra. Previously, Jan co-owned Hovey Winery, LLC, enhancing the tasting experience for wine enthusiasts in Murphys.
