Roopa Acharya

Roopa Acharya has extensive work experience in various leadership roles and industries. Roopa started their career in 2003 at Gap Inc. as a Manager, Application and Architecture, and later held positions as Sr. Technical Manager and Director at Gap Inc./Growth, Innovation, Digital (GID). From 2015 to 2017, they served as Senior Director - Gap Tech.

In 2018, Roopa joined Albertsons Companies as Vice President of Software Engineering and later transitioned to roles as Senior Director - Loyalty, Payments & Call Center Engineering and Senior Director IT - Loyalty. Roopa stayed with the company until 2020.

Roopa then moved on to Walmart Global Tech India, where they served as Senior Director - Customer Experience from 2020 to 2022.

Currently, Roopa is working as the Vice President of Merchandising at Target, starting in 2023. Roopa also previously held the role of Vice President Engineering, Core Data Services at Target from 2022 to 2023.

Roopa Acharya received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Vishweshvara Engineering Collage, Bangalore, from 1991 to 1995. Roopa later pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management from San Jose State University, from 2003 to 2005.
