Bruno Heynen

Bruno Heynen is an expert in business law, particularly in the areas of corporate governance, company law, capital market regulation, contract law, pharma law, private equity and venture capital, with more than 25 years of experience as attorney-at-law in a large Zurich-based law firm and as a lawyer, secretary to the board of directors and executive management of multinational companies. In addition to playing a key role at Roche in providing legal advice on major financial transactions, he also then served as Secretary of the Board, Secretary to the Executive Committee and Head Corporate Law & Governance at Novartis.

He serves as Director of the European Council on Corporate Governance of the Conference Board and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Corporate Governance Competence Centre at the Research Institute for International Management of the University of St.Gallen.

Bruno Heynen studied at the University of St. Gallen (lic. iur. HSG, 1986) and the London School of Economics (LL.M., specializing in International Business Law, 1995). He is a Swiss attorney-at-law and a public notary.
