Juan Zhang

Juan Zhang began their work experience in 2010 at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they worked as a researcher until 2012. Juan then became a senior researcher from 2013 to 2015, followed by a senior engineer from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they joined the Karolinska Institutet as a postdoctoral researcher until 2021, during which time they also served as a research specialist from 2021 to 2023. In 2021, they worked as a project intern at Atrogi and later as a scientist. Juan then joined Chiesi Group in 2022 as a consultant for preclinical research until 2023. Currently, they are employed as a research scientist at Targovax ASA, starting in 2023.

Juan Zhang completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in cell biology and cancer biology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. They have also obtained several certifications including "DESIGN OF SCIENTIFIC PROCEDURES AND PROJECTS INVOLVING ANIMALS (FUNCTION B; DIRECTIVE 2010/63/EU)" from Karolinska Institutet in June 2023, "Essentials of Regulatory Affairs (RA) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)" from Svensk Medicin AB in December 2022, "Good Manufacturing Practice - GMP" from Svensk Medicin AB in December 2022, "Refining minor procedures on mice" from Karolinska Institutet in October 2021, "Anaesthesia, analgesia and surgery (mice and rats)" from Karolinska Institutet in May 2021, and "Laboratory Animal science Function-Rodents and lagmomorphs" from Karolinska Institutet in October 2019.
