Sajindra Jayasena

Sajindra Jayasena has a strong background in technology and leadership roles. Sajindra is currently serving as the Chief Information and Digital Officer at Targray, where they are responsible for driving business process transformation and digital/tech transformations. Prior to this, they worked as the Group CTO at Amphora, leading the product and technology transformation. Sajindra has also served as a Lead Technology/Strategy Advisor for an private tech investment firm and has held various technology roles at Deutsche Bank, including CTO for Research, Analytics and Data Innovation Technology, Head of Disruptive/Digital Technologies for Global Technology, and CTO for Global Trade Finance and Securities Processing. Earlier in their career, they worked at Virtusa PLC, BT, University of Moratuwa, Sun Microsystems, and Four Corners Software in various technology and architecture roles.

Sajindra Jayasena holds a M.Sc in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which was obtained from 2001 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, completing their studies from 1996 to 2000. In 1995, Sajindra pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Accounting and Finance from CIMA. Their educational journey started at Royal College Colombo, where they completed their High School education with a focus on Mathematics at A/L from 1987 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, Sajindra has obtained various certifications in leadership communications, emissions trading, and machine learning techniques from institutions such as LinkedIn and Cambridge Spark. They have also completed several online courses related to cloud computing and machine learning on platforms like Coursera.
