Uday Baldota

Uday Baldota is the current Director and Chief Executive Officer at Taro Pharmaceuticals. Uday has held this position since January 2020.

Prior to their current role, Baldota served as a Board Member for the Association for Accessible Medicines from January 2020 to January 2022.

Baldota has also previously worked for Taro Pharmaceutical Industries and Lafarge India. At Lafarge India, they served as Vice President Purchasing from April 2003 to June 2005, ADVANCE Facilitator from December 2002 to December 2004, and Head - IT from November 1999 to October 2003.

From August 2014 to June 2017, Baldota worked for SUN PHARMA as Chief Financial Officer. Uday held the position of Senior Vice President Finance from June 2012 to August 2014, Senior Vice President from April 2010 to June 2012, and Vice President from June 2005 to March 2010.

Additionally, Baldota has served as General Manager - Marketing Services & Market Research for Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd from April 1999 to November 1999 and Head - IT from September 1996 to December 1998.

Uday Baldota attended the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, where they received their PGDM in Finance. Uday also completed the Lafarge Programme in International Leadership at INSEAD. For their undergraduate degree, Baldota attended the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, where they studied Chemical Engineering. Uday also completed secondary school at Jeevan Sadhana in Baroda and elementary school at IPCL School in Baroda.
