Sue Van Der Merwe

Sue van der Merwe is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the lottery and gaming sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive of The Lottery Corporation since June 2022, Sue previously held the position of Managing Director Lotteries & Keno at Tabcorp from December 2017 to May 2022. Sue's earlier roles include Chief Operating Officer Lotteries and General Manager Group Lottery Operations at Tatts Group from 2007 to 2017, and General Manager Lotteries at Golden Casket from 1990 to 2007. Sue began a career in brand marketing at Beecham and Boots in South Africa from 1987 to 1989. Sue holds a B. Soc.Sci in Marketing and Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 1986, and attended Durban Girls' College from 1978 to 1982.
