Viviana Mendez

Viviana Mendez is an experienced professional in youth program management, currently serving as the Youth Programs Manager at Tarrant Area Food Bank since November 2016. In this role, Viviana coordinates federally funded programs, including the Summer Food Service Program and the At-Risk Child and Adult Care Food Program, overseeing a significant number of sites. Previous positions at Tarrant Area Food Bank included Youth Programs Coordinator and Food for Kids Coordinator. Viviana also has retail experience, having worked as a Data Entry Assistant and Sales Floor Associate at Kohl's Department Stores, specializing in the Jewelry Department and Customer Service. Additionally, Viviana gained teaching experience as a Student Teacher for 5th grade science and 8th grade algebra through the Teach North Texas program while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies from the University of North Texas, completed in 2020.
