Juan Azcarate III

Juan Azcarate III is an accomplished professional in risk management and higher education with extensive experience. Currently serving as the URMIA 2025 Annual Conference Chairperson at the University Risk Management & Insurance Association since October 2024 and as Senior Managing Director at Dallas College since September 2022, Juan also holds a position as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching Government at Tarrant County College since August 2017. Previous roles include Risk Manager at Texas Wesleyan University, Associate Director of Risk Management at Southern Methodist University, and Claims Manager for the City of Dallas. With a career beginning in the US Army, Juan also has experience at DFW International Airport, El Paso Electric Company, and Wells Fargo Insurance Services. Juan's educational background includes a Master's degree in Public Administration and certification as a Certified Risk Manager.
