Sonia Williams-Babers

Sonia Williams-Babers is a creative professional with extensive experience in publishing, sales, marketing, and education. Currently serving as Creative Director for The Black Bookworm Legacy Project since November 2022, Sonia also holds the position of Sales and Marketing Representative at BBW Prints Books w/Black Classic Press/Digital Press since March 2018. Past roles include on-call/temporary instructional aide at Tarrant County College, and elementary school librarian at East Ft. Worth Montessori Academy. Sonia has an entrepreneurial background as the owner of The Black Bookworm Bookstore from June 1992 to January 2006. Additional experience includes serving as a Charter Cable TV Host and a travel industry analyst at American Airlines. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts/Political Science and Magazine Writing from The University of Texas at Arlington, along with participation in Stanford University’s Summer Publishing Institute.
