Javad Afshar

Javad Afshar is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in engineering and project management. Currently serving as Technical Lead at tastytrade since August 2014, Javad focuses on customer acquisition, identity management, and architectural direction to improve technical efficiency. Previously, as Engineering Manager, Javad provided mentorship and developed team-wide best practices. Javad's background includes significant roles as a Software Engineer at tastytrade, a Web Development Student at Dev Bootcamp, and various engineering positions, including Civil Engineering Designer at Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc. and CAD/IT Manager at K Friese & Associates, Inc. Javad holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from California State University Channel Islands and has studied Persian language at The University of Texas at Austin.
