Abhijit Sengupta

Abhijit Sengupta is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar power systems. Currently serving as Group Head of New Product Development at Tata Power Solar Systems Limited since October 2013, Abhijit focuses on designing advanced IoT-enabled data acquisition and automation systems while integrating new technologies into solar PV operations and maintenance. Prior roles include Head of New Product Development and Manager of Strategic Technology, where responsibilities encompassed developing embedded systems for solar monitoring and assessing electrical hardware designs for GaN-based solar inverters. At GE Power Conversion, Abhijit held positions as Marketing Product Leader and Senior Project Engineer, managing product requirements for solar inverters and leading projects in wind energy. Abhijit began a career at Tractor India Private Limited as a Design Engineer, specializing in electrical circuit design for heavy machinery. Abhijit holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kalyani.
