Joseph Prabhakaran Arunachalam is a Senior Project Engineer at Tata Steel in Europe, where responsibilities include project management, electrical systems integration, process integration, I&C engineering, and functional safety engineering for offgas cleaning installations in the Pellet plant. Previously, Joseph held the role of Project Engineer EIC, working on multi-disciplinary projects focused on emission control, process optimization, production safety, and energy efficiency. An earlier internship involved developing a model to optimize industrial processes based on electricity pricing and renewable energy resources. Joseph's experience includes a research internship at the University of Groningen studying voltage collapse in microgrids and a commissioning engineer role at Venbatech Pvt Ltd, where responsibilities involved developing automation solutions for building systems. Joseph earned a Master of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Groningen and holds an Advanced Diploma in PLC/SCADA/DCS Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation.
