Soumyajyoti Chakrabarty is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in project and technical consultancy, currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Tata Steel in Europe since February 2018. In this role, Soumyajyoti leads the electrical aspects of the greenfield LA Hall project. Previously, as the Corporate Engineering Manager at Berger Paints India, Soumyajyoti managed electrical engineering for multiple plants both domestically and internationally. Experience also includes a managerial position at Tata Consulting Engineers Limited, where Soumyajyoti executed significant projects such as health studies for copper plants and expansions at Tata Steel's Kalinganagar facility. Earlier roles at ArcelorMittal involved design and engineering for sinter plant augmentation, while foundational experience was garnered at M. N. Dastur & Co., focusing on electrical engineering and automation systems for Tata Steel. Soumyajyoti holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calcutta.
