Akshay Khullar

Akshay Khullar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience at Tata Steel since August 1995, currently serving as General Manager Projects. With a strong foundation in metallurgical engineering from IT-BHU Varanasi, Khullar has held key leadership roles, including Chief of Manufacturing Long Products and Head Operations for LD Shop 1, overseeing operations with a capacity of 3.3 million tons per annum. Demonstrating expertise in project management, Khullar was responsible for the final stages of construction and commissioning of the LD shop and CSP plant. Throughout the career, accomplishments include recruiting and training over 400 employees, enhancing casting speeds, and stabilizing production processes. Prior experience at Tata Steel from July 1992 to June 1995 includes managing ingot logistics and operations in BOF, contributing to quality stabilization of various steel grades.
