Suman Datta

Suman Datta is a seasoned engineering and project management professional with over 15 years of experience in the steel and aluminum industries. Currently serving as Sr. Manager of Engineering & Projects at Tata Steel since March 2011, Suman successfully executed and commissioned major projects, including a 136 TPH LDO Conversion of Boiler Project during the COVID-19 lockdown, and has led the commissioning of significant initiatives such as the CDQ Plant and a 40 MW power plant. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Tata Steel and Associate Manager at Vedanta Limited, where Suman managed electrical project planning and execution for various facilities. Suman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, graduated in 2008.
