Jervin Cruz has a diverse and extensive work experience, beginning in 2011 as Head Video Editor at Deer Valley Television, where they storyboarded for video projects, edited and organized hours of film, and enriched their public speaking and extemporizing skills. In 2014, they joined the SJSU Student Union as a Team Member. In 2015, they worked as a Freelance Video Editor for Team Esface. In 2016, they worked as a Videographer/Editor for the San José State University Research Foundation. In 2018, they worked as an iOS Developer for Thrift: Budget & Statistics, an watchOS Developer for Finder: Yelp for Apple Watch, and an iOS Developer for Personify: A Personalized Spotify. Lastly, in 2019, they worked as a Solutions Engineer for Branch, where they led SDK product implementations with tech demos, crafted client deliverables and use cases, resolved discrepancies by db querying and analyzing datasets with SQL and Big Data (Druid), managed sales and monitored account health and status by leveraging CRM tools (Salesforce), evaluated and debugged issues for enterprise and strategic clients, and mentored new hires and led training in technical architecture, client engagement, and debugging best practices. In 2020, they began working as a Solutions Architect for Tatari.
Jervin Cruz attended San Jose State University from 2014 to 2016, studying Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Los Medanos College / Diablo Valley College from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a GE in Computer Science. In October 2018, they obtained a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from Therm-x, California. Jervin also holds a ServSafe Certification.
