Producer, Performance And Public Practice at Tate

Demelza Watts is an accomplished artist and arts professional with extensive experience in various roles within the creative sector. Currently serving as an Artist at Demelza Watts since September 2010, Demelza also holds positions as Production Manager for Performance and Participation at Tate since July 2023, Curator at Sally’s Fault since August 2024, and Chair of the Board of Trustees at SLIDE DANCE LIMITED since October 2023. Demelza has been a Visiting Lecturer at multiple universities including UCL and UAL since September 2013, and recently worked as a Community Producer for Programme and Production with Greater London Authority and Turf Projects from August 2022 to July 2023. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Kinetic Sculpture and Installation Conservation Technician at Tate from June 2021 to May 2023. Educationally, Demelza holds a Master of Arts in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art (2015), a BA (Hons) in Fine Art: Sculpture from the University of the Arts London (2013), and a Foundation Diploma in Fine Art from Swindon School of Art and Design (2010).
