Ildar Z. Farkhutdinov

Ildar Z. Farkhutdinov has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ildar Z. is currently the Head of Field Development Department at Technology Development Center, PJSC Tatneft, Russia. In this role, they are responsible for managing the field development department and launching innovative projects aimed at increasing recovery efficiency. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Expert at the Field Development Department at Technology Development Center, also at Tatneft, where they supervised research and development projects related to geological and numerical simulation models.

Before working at Tatneft, Ildar worked at Rosneft as a Senior Geologist and Chief Specialist at the Geological Department. At Rosneft, their responsibilities included creating geological models, well candidate selection, and designing optimal well profiles for reservoir development.

Ildar Z. also has experience in the oilfield services industry, having worked at Schlumberger as a Well Placement Engineer and MWD/LWD Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for real-time geosteering, precision well placement, and well log interpretation.

Ildar began their career at OAO Udmurtneft (Rosneft) as a Reservoir Engineer and later became the Lead Reservoir Engineer at the Waterflooding Department. Ildar Z.'swork involved Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and water shut-off treatment operations.

Prior to their career in the oil and gas industry, Ildar gained experience in engineering and home improvement roles. Ildar Z. worked as a Technologist Engineer at JSC RINPO, an Engineer (Trainee) at JSC ALNAS, and a Plumber at JSC Home Improvement.

Ildar Z. Farkhutdinov obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a degree in Нефтегазовое дело (Petroleum Engineering) from Tomsk Polytechnic University in 2011.

Before pursuing their master's degree, they obtained an engineering degree from Альметьевский Государственный Нефтяной Институт (Almetyevsk State Oil Institute) in 2009.

Ildar Z. has also achieved various certifications, including a TOEFL English proficiency certificate in 2018 and completion certificates from Schlumberger in different courses related to their industry. Additionally, they have participated in conferences and received a scholarship for the outstanding student.
