J.p. Blackford

J.P. Blackford has a diverse work experience. From 2001 to the present, Blackford has been involved with The Tau Beta Pi Association, Inc., initially serving as a District Director and Engineering Futures facilitator. In 2014, Blackford was elected President and joined the Executive Council, where they have been responsible for leading the association's national programs. Additionally, Blackford has worked at George Washington University since 2010, serving as the Director of Science and Engineering Apprentice Programs from 2010 to 2013, and as the Director of Doctoral Programs for EMSE Off Campus Programs since 2013. Prior to that, Blackford held positions at the American Public Power Association as a Senior Environmental Services Engineer from 2007 to 2011, and at the National Hydrogen Association as a Legislative and Technical Outreach Coordinator from 2006 to 2007.

J.P. Blackford pursued higher education in the field of engineering. In 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from George Washington University - SEAS, where they studied for four years until 1995. Moving forward, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from The George Washington University, which was completed between 1995 and 1997.
