Peter W.

Peter W. is a highly experienced scientist, currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at TAU Systems since 2022, where leadership includes the design and development of laser wakefield accelerators and Free Electron Laser diagnostics. Previously, Peter has held various positions at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory from 2016, including Technical Consultant, Lead Scientist for the LCLS II TMO Endstation, and Project Scientist, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and leading significant upgrades in atomic, molecular, and optical science. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral position and beamline engineer role at DESY from 2009 to 2016, with a PhD in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from RWTH Aachen University earned between 2012 and 2015.
