Berto van Dam is an experienced ecological advisor with a strong background in nature legislation and ecology. Currently serving as an Adviseur ecologie at Tauw bv since November 2012, Berto has previously held roles at Rijkswaterstaat as an Adviseur ecologie focusing on waterway maintenance and at Omgevingsdienst Midden-Holland where support was provided to an ecology team on nature legislation matters. Berto's early experience includes an internship at Royal HaskoningDHV, gaining insights into fisheries, fishery logistics, and Natura2000 management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and a minor in Fisheries Ecology and Policy from Wageningen University & Research. Additional training includes a course on bats and spatial planning from the Zoogdiervereniging.
