Elza van der Meer is an experienced advisor specializing in rural area development at Tauw Nederland since September 2019, following a traineeship where involvement spanned three departments: urban transformation, adaptive infrastructure, and water, nature, and rural areas. Elza has contributed to various spatial planning projects and held significant roles in multiple organizations, including serving as vice chairman and coordinator acquisition for the Career Day committee at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences, University of Groningen, and acting as treasurer for the European Geography Association. Previous internships include a position at Sweco and a research internship with SNV. Elza holds a Master's degree in Economic Geography from the University of Groningen, a Master's degree in International Development Studies from Utrecht University, and a Bachelor's degree in Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Groningen.
