Poonam R. Pandey,Ph.D

Associate Director at Tavotek Biotherapeutics

Poonam R. Pandey, Ph.D has a more than 12 years of diverse work experience in the fields of cancer therapeutics, drug discovery, noncoding RNAs, and protein-ligand binding. In 2009, she was an Intern (Master's Dissertation) at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (Top Notch Institute) where she explored the characterization of protein-ligand binding using biophysical techniques. In 2010, she became a Junior Research Fellow at the National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) where she completed her Ph.D courses in Molecular Cell Biology, Genetics, and Immunology. From 2012 to 2017, she was a Senior Researcher at the National Centre for Cell Science where she mainly studied the translation regulation of Insulin genes by trans-acting factors. In 2017, she became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The National Institutes of Health where she developed an assay to isolate highly pure circular RNA and its interacting proteins. From 2019 to 2022, she was a Postdoctoral research scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Centre where she developed a molecular glue degrader screening platform to degrade undruggable targets. She was working as Associate Research Scientist in Columbia University (NYC) before joining Tavotek. Currently, she is an Associate Director at Tavotek Biotherapeutics where she is leading and developing an mRNA research program called RITE: RNA mediated intracellular target engager where she is designing strategies to achieve goals and objectives for optimal outcomes. She is actively providing scientific and technical expertise in cross-departmental programs and managing

scientific personnel to achieve meaningful results.

Poonam R. Pandey, Ph.D. has an extensive educational background. In addition to academic qualifications, Poonam has also obtained certifications from various institutions, including the Student Trainee Leadership Program from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2021, Introductory R Boot Camp from Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) in 2020, and Introduction to Python from National Institutes of Health (NIH): Intramural Research Program (IRP) in 2017.
