Doug Hamill

Doug Hamill has over 25 years of work experience in the field of accounting and taxation. Doug began their career as a Staff Auditor at Sager, Swisher & Company LLP in 1999, where they performed audits, reviews, compilations, and prepared tax returns for various clients. In 2002, they were promoted to Senior Tax Accountant at Capital Blue Cross, where they were responsible for tax returns, schedules, and related reports, as well as assisting with litigation preparation and income tax provisions. In 2004, they were promoted to Tax Manager at the same company and managed a small team in addition to overseeing tax compliance, reporting, planning, and research. In 2012, they took on the role of Corporate Tax Director at Capital Blue Cross. In 2020, they became the President of the Harrisburg Chapter at Tax Executives Institute.

Doug Hamill completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accountancy from The Pennsylvania State University from 1991 to 1995. Doug then pursued their Masters degree in Taxation from Villanova University, which they completed from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their degrees, Doug Hamill has obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant, although the institution and specific timeframe for obtaining this certification are not provided.
