Todd Lard

Todd Lard serves as Tax Counsel at the Tax Executives Institute since January 2022 and also contributes as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center since September 2016. Lard has extensive experience in tax law, having been a Partner at Eversheds Sutherland from March 2013 to January 2022 and General Counsel for the Council On State Taxation from August 2007 to March 2013. Previous roles include Counsel at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, Manager of Tax Research and Planning at Nextel, and Tax professional at KPMG. Lard began their career as an Associate at McKinney & Stringer. Academic qualifications include an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD in Law from Oklahoma City University School of Law, and a BABA in Accounting from Dallas Baptist University.
