George Birrell

George Birrell has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. George began their career in 1999 as a Retail Accountant/Controller for Associated Food Stores. In 2004, they moved to Carver Florek & James as an Audit Staff. In 2007, they joined Wisan, Smith, Racker & Prescott, LLP as an Audit Supervisor, where they acted as audit staff while supervising, developing, and designing audit programs using risk-based framework. George also conducted extensive revenue recognition research in conjunction with FASB codifications 910 (construction contractors) and 946 (investment companies). In 2012, they became the Controller at Halmar International. In 2016, they took on roles as Group Controller Americas and Controller USA at FOREO. George also co-founded Taxhub in 2016 and Embark Global in 2021.

George Birrell attended Loyola University Chicago, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and was a member of the Deans List. George also attended Culver Academies. In addition, George Birrell is a Certified Public Accountant, as certified by the State of Utah.
