Archana Alva

Archana Alva has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Archana started their career in 2012 as an Associate Technology L1 at Sapient Global Markets, where they developed and enhanced client-facing applications. Archana then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SAMSUNG R&D INSTITUTE INDIA - BANGALORE PRIVATE LIMITED, focusing on developing Android applications and ideating on advanced features for Samsung Calendar app.

In 2018, Archana joined Cybernetics Lab IMA & IfU as a Research Assistant, where they explored data, recommended machine learning methodologies, and developed interactive learning tools using Reinforcement Learning. Archana also worked at EY as a Software Engineer | Consultant, where they developed software tools to optimize the German tax filing process, with a focus on backend development.

Currently, Archana holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Taxy.io, where they utilize their skills and expertise in software engineering to contribute to the company's goals.

Archana Alva completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Media Informatics from RWTH Aachen University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information Science and Engineering from PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore South Campus, from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Archana has also obtained several certifications, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Problem Solving from HackerRank, Java Essential Training: Objects and APIs from LinkedIn, and Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning, Machine Learning & AI: Advanced Decision Trees, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning from various institutions like LinkedIn and Coursera.
