Aaron McKenzie

Aaron McKenzie is a seasoned design strategist with extensive experience in the field of human-centered design and innovation. Currently serving as the Lead Strategist at Cove Studio, part of the award-winning Taylor Design firm, McKenzie has previously held the position of Senior Design Strategist at Taylor Design since April 2019. As a Strategy Consultant between September 2017 and January 2019, McKenzie collaborated with Hack the Hood on an interactive college application tool and reimagined retail banking for Chase Bank. Earlier roles include Institutional Designer at California College of the Arts and Program Manager for Design & Strategy at the Center for Art and Public Life, where McKenzie focused on community partnerships and creative practices. McKenzie began professional development with internships at Base Design and Calibra Medical Technology. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Interaction Design and a BFA in Industrial Design from California College of the Arts, along with a B.A. in History from the University of California, Davis.
