Harry Russell

Head Of Design at Taylor Woodrow

Harry Russell has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Harry started their career as a Graduate Engineer at Taylor Woodrow Construction in 1993. Harry then worked as a Design Engineer at MWH Global in 1995.

In 2004, Harry joined VINCI Construction UK as a Senior Design Manager, where they delivered contractor's design for rail and energy projects. Harry was also involved in bid management and tender-stage design.

From 2005 to 2009, Harry worked at Taylor Woodrow Construction again, initially as a Design Manager and later as a Senior Design Manager. Harry was responsible for various design packages, including a landmark bowstring bridge and Victorian brick-arch viaduct.

In 2012, Harry joined BBMV as a Senior Design Manager and later became a Senior Engineering Manager. Harry led design management teams for a multi-disciplinary station construction contract and oversaw the implementation of Crossrail management system and assurance requirements.

Currently, Harry is working at Taylor Woodrow as the Head of Design. Harry has held this position since March 2020. Prior to this, they were the Head of Engineering and the Preconstruction Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for various aspects of pre-construction engineering and design management. This included business development liaison, consultant selection, and defining scope and responsibilities for designers.

Throughout their career, Harry has demonstrated expertise in design management, bid management, and project delivery in the construction industry.

Harry Russell attended Oundle School from 1983 to 1987, where they did not obtain a degree or field of study. Subsequently, from 1988 to 1992, they pursued their MEng degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Liverpool.
