Mike Olson has a diverse work experience in various industries. Mike started their career as a Tutor at the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2005. Mike then worked as a Fund Security Analyst at LSBE Financial Markets Program from 2005 to 2006. After that, they joined the Center for Economic Development as an Entreprenuerial Business Development Analyst, where they provided consulting services to small businesses from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Taylor Corporation as a Sr. Financial/Business Analyst, where they developed financial models and supported the month-end close process. In 2008, they became the Director of Finance at Taymark Inc and successfully managed different functional areas including finance, accounting, credit, purchasing, and strategic sourcing. Mike also established a strategic sourcing department from the ground up. In 2013, Mike started their own business, Crocus Hill Rental Properties, where they own and operates three rental buildings. Mike is responsible for managing renovations and repairs, tenant selection and screening, zoning, accounting, and marketing for the business. Additionally, in 2013, they took on the role of Director of Marketing/Business Unit Leader at Taymark Inc, where they provided vision and strategy for the development of marketing campaigns, channel plans, and merchant plans, with a focus on sales growth and profit improvement. Mike is known for effectively managing and mentoring teams in marketing, merchandising, sourcing, analytics, and creative.
Mike Olson attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Their area of focus during their studies was Finance and Economics.
